KIEV, April 19 – The rise in the credit portfolio at Ukrainian banks in 2011 will be around 10%, and in 2012 it could accelerate to 15-20%, Moody's Investors Service said.
"Our basic forecast [for the growth of the credit portfolio] is 10%. It could be more," Moody's Senior Credit Expert Yaroslav Sovhira said at a press conference in Kiev.
He said that the expansion of the credit portfolio could lead to a slight fall in the share of bad credits in the total credit portfolio of the banks. However, he said that it is not expected that the volume of bad credits will fall.
