KIEV, April 7 – Energy security is a common strategic interest of Ukraine, the European Union and Russia, President Viktor Yanukovych will say in his annual address to Parliament.
"The common strategic interest of Ukraine, the European Union and Russia is energy security. Taking into account the necessity to find a balance of economic interests of all of the sides, Ukraine should propose forms to expand cooperation with Russia and the European Union, which include the attraction of European and Russian capitals to the upgrade and develop the Ukrainian gas transport system [GTS]," reads an annual address of the president, a copy of which was released to lawmakers on Thursday.
