KIEV, Feb. 25 – The Ukrainian authorities plan to continue fighting inflation, according to President Viktor Yanukovych.

"We should at least be in the middle of [the other countries in terms of inflation]. We should always monitor the prices of consumer goods, and of course, the correspondence of prices to wages and pensions," he said during the Conversation with the Country television project on Friday.

He said that ensuring there was low inflation is not a simple task, and one that has not yet been resolved.
