KIEV, Feb. 23 - Consumer confidence in Ukraine worsened in January, the International Centre for Policy Studies (ICPS) reported, citing the results of another consumer confidence survey as part of a joint project with GfK Ukraine.
"The Consumer Confidence Index in January fell by 7.3 notches, to 75.1… Ukrainians greeted the new year of 2011 with a worsening of all compounds of the consumer confidence index," said the ICPS.
ICPS said that buying power fell by 10 notches, to 70.6 notches. Assessments of current personal financial states were down by 9.9 notches, to 68.6 notches, the lowest figure ever.
