KIEV, Feb. 15 – EnergoAtom plans to finish work to extend the exploitation of reactor one of Yuzhnoukrainsk nuclear power plant by late 2012, the state-owned nuclear monopoly reported.

In particular, this year the assessment of the technical state and reassignment of the working life of all reactor elements will be finished, including reactor and construction elements. By late 2011, a report on the safety term revaluation will be submitted to the state inspection for nuclear regulation of Ukraine.

The inspection will decide on the prolongation of reactor one's exploitation in December 2012.
