KIEV, Dec. 20 – Exports of scrap nonferrous metal from Ukraine in 2011 as in 2010 are to have a 24% export duty, according to a draft law on amendments to some Ukrainian laws on transactions with scrap metal passed on December 17.
"The draft proposes to delay cutting the rates of export duties for one year and draw up a program on the reorganization of the sector over one year, taking into account the new situation in taxation," said one of the draft law's authors, Serhiy Maiboroda (the Regions Party faction).
