KIEV, Dec. 10 - Ukraine on Friday extended the lifespan of two nuclear power reactors by 20 years after investing $300 million in their safety over the past six years.
This is the first project in a state program that calls for extending lifespan of 13 out of 15 nuclear power reactors currently in operation in Ukraine.
“This is the moment of truth,” Yuriy Nedashkivskiy, the head of EnergoAtom, said.
