KIEV, Oct. 22 - RosUkrEnergo, a Swiss-based natural gas trader co-owned by Ukrainian billionaire Dmytro Firtash and Gazprom, came a step closer to claiming its gas that had been confiscated by Ukraine in 2009.
The Kiev District Administrative Court ruled it was an “illegal order” by then Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko to confiscate 11 billion cubic meters of gas from RosUkrEnergo, according to the Prosecutor General’s Office’s report late Thursday.
The court upheld a lawsuit from the Prosecutor General’s Office.
