KIEV, Oct. 8 – Ukraine and Azerbaijan are planning soon to sign an economic and cultural strategic cooperation plan for 2011-2015, Azerbaikani Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Yaqub Eyyubov said at a briefing after a meeting of the Ukrainian-Azeri intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation in Kiev on Thursday.
"We want that a plan of measures on further development and realization of economic cooperation for 2011-2015 was signed as soon as possible. This would be a key document, which would contain programs and spheres of cooperation," he said.
In addition, Eyyubov and First Deputy Prime Minister Andriy Kliuyev, co-chairmen of the intergovernmental commission, named sectors, where the countries would tightly cooperate, in particular, the energy and fuel complex, heavy engineering, energy engineering, agriculture, defense and technical and space sectors, transport, culture, healthcare and science.
