KIEV, Oct. 4 - Ukrainian mines boosted iron ore production in the first nine months of 2010.
Poltava Mining, the core asset of the London-listed Ferrexpo plc, boosted iron ore pellet production 14% year-on-year to 7.314 million tons, and concentrate production 7.5% to 8.348 million tons, Ferrexpo said.
Poltava Mining exports all of its pellets.
The Metinvest holding's Central Mining, from Kryvy Rih, raised commercial pellet production 4.2% to 1.698 million tons, while concentrate production soared by 31.3% to 4.541 million tons.
