KIEV, Sept. 23 – The approval of constitutional amendments reducing presidential powers back in December 2004 was a “mistake,” President Viktor Yanukovych’s top aide told the Constitutional Court on Thursday during deliberations on the issue.

Olena Lukash, Yanukovych’s representative to the Constitutional Court, told judges that “it’s time to correct the mistake.”
