KIEV, Sept. 16 – Police on Thursday stopped a group of demonstrators marching to remember journalist Heorhiy Gongadze, who was murdered exactly 10 years ago.
The group sought to walk through Bankovska Street in Kiev near the Presidential Administration, but the demonstrators had been stopped by massive police force without clear reason, Ukrayinska Pravda reported.
“There were about 20 police officers along a metal fence that had restricted the street,” the online newspaper reported.
