KIEV, Sept. 7 - An interdepartmental tender commission for selecting technology for the creation in Ukraine of an enterprise that will manufacture nuclear fuel for VVER-1000 reactors has recognized Russia's OJSC TVEL as the tender winner, Svitlana Merkulova, the assistant to the director of U.S. company Westinghouse Electric's representative office in Ukraine, told journalists.

"We have received a notice thanking us for participating in the tender. It said that the interdepartmental commission had ruled in favor of TVEL," she said.
