KIEV, Aug. 31 – Ukraine’s energy and fuel minister on Tuesday ruled out any further hikes in natural gas prices for households, effectively reversing the government’s earlier promise to the International Monetary Fund.

The government increased gas prices 50% starting August 1, but a memorandum agreed and signed with the IMF anticipates another 50% hike in April 2011.
