KIEV, Aug. 19 - The share of bad loans in the portfolios of Ukrainian banks grew by 0.7 percentage points in July, to 11.5%, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.
The amount of bad credits in monetary terms in July went up by 7.5% or UAH 5.812 billion, to UAH 83.403 billion, the NBU said, and since the start of the year it has grown by 19.3%, or UAH 13.468 billion.
In 2009 the value of bad credits jumped nearly fourfold, to UAH 69.935 billion.
