KIEV, Aug. 5 - KrasnodonVuhillya, which owns seven coal mines in the Luhansk region, received 598,000 Euros from selling Emission Reduction Units (ERU’s) under the Kyoto Protocol, the company reported Thursday.
The money, received from the Dutch investment bank ING Bank, comes after verification of KrasnodonVuhillya’s emission reductions in 2006-2008 and is the first time the company has tapped into the emission market.
