KIEV, July 13 – The deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in commodities January through May shrank by 8.3% year-over-year, to $2.1 billion, according to Ukraine's State Statistics Committee.
The value of exports of goods from Ukraine January through May grew by 31.4%, to $18.769 billion, while imports rose by 25.9%, to $20.869 billion.
The deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in commodities shrank by 5.8% in the first four months of 2010. Exports grew by 28.1%, to $14.563 billion, while imports rose by 23%, to $16.444 billion.
