KIEV, July 5 – The National Communications Regulatory Commission is ready to start drawing up the rules for retaining subscribers' phone numbers if subscribers change operators, as soon as the relevant law takes effect.

"The law passed last week would take effect when it is signed by the president, and the process would take at least two weeks, or even more… We've started studying technical issues. We'll involve operators and draw up the rules by joint efforts," NCRC Chairman Volodymyr Oliynyk told Interfax-Ukraine.
