KIEV, June 15 – The Ukrainian government has approved a procedure for the use of funds of UAH 1.04 billion from the stabilization fund to provide citizens with apartments, and UAH 900.7 billion directly spent to finance construction of affordable housing.
A posting on the cabinet's Web site says that the rest of UAH 139.3 million were distributed for purchase of apartments on shares for military and young families (UAH 115.9 million), to compensate expense of the State Mortgage Institution to buy apartments for some categories of citizens in 2009 (UAH 11.85 million), to form a common state register of citizens needed to improve their living conditions (UAH 11.35 million) and to amend state construction requirements, taking into account architectural plans and sanitary and hygienic conditions to affordable housing (UAH 200,000).
