KIEV, June 1 – A deputy minister was arrested in Ukraine on Tuesday apparently for receiving a $200,000 bribe that was supposed to secure a particular regional appointment, the prosecutor general’s office reported.

The report did not name the official because the investigation is underway, but a source at law enforcement told Delo newspaper that arrested was Bohdan Presner, a deputy environment protection minister.
