KIEV, May 14 – Ukrainian authorities suddenly cancelled the interrogation of opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko, which had been scheduled on Monday, the day Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is due to arrive for an official visit.

Tymoshenko earlier called for a “powerful” protest rally against the visit amid concerns that the Ukrainian government could make concessions hurting the country’s national interests.
