KIEV, May 11 – Ukraine's agriculture ministry says it is impossible that corn containing dioxin could have been supplied to Germany from Ukraine.
Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk told a briefing in Kiev on Tuesday that last year Ukraine did not export corn to Germany, and its supplies through the Netherlands (as some mass media reported) last year totaled a mere 52,000 tons.
"We'll do our utmost to refute the claims [that Ukraine supplied dioxin-contaminated corn to Germany]," the minister said.
