KIEV, April 2 – The main problems in the Ukrainian economy will be settled by late 2010, according to President Viktor Yanukovych.

"I'm sure that by the end of this year an economic upswing will be seen," he said, speaking to the leaders of parties, nongovernmental and political organizations of Ukraine in Kiev on Thursday.

He said that authorities have drawn up a shot-term program on overcoming the crisis and they have now started to draw up a medium-term program. Work on creating the conditions to attract investors to Ukraine is being done.
