KIEV, March 31 – Ukraine’s biggest trade union group has come out strongly against the toughening of social policy to please international lending organizations.

The Trade Unions Federation of Ukraine reported that social policy was discussed at a meeting of a trade union delegation with the chief of the International Monetary Fund mission to Ukraine, Thanos Arvanitis, held on March 29.
