KIEV, March 31 – Inflation expectations of Ukrainians in February fell under the influence of the hryvnia exchange rate reinforcement, according to a survey conducted as a part of a joint project of GfK Ukraine Company and the International Center of Policy Studies (ICPS).
"The inflation expectations index went down by 3.9 notches, to 179.8, which could be linked to some strengthening of the national currency exchange rate. The impact of foodstuff price hikes on inflation expectations was obviously compensated by the political factor," reads the survey.
