KIEV, March 12 – Ukrainian Prosecutor General Oleksandr Medvedko has called on the law-enforcement and oversight bodies to actively investigate the lawfulness of the use of budget funds by the cabinet headed by former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.

"At present, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office is thoroughly studying the lawfulness of the use of budget funds, including those received from international organizations and the lawfulness of VAT reimbursement under presidential orders. I demand that the law-enforcement and oversight bodies be actively involved in this work, and produce concrete results," he said on Friday, speaking at a coordination meeting of the heads of law-enforcement bodies with participation of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.
