IVANO-FRANKIVSK, Feb. 23 - Another 470 tons of melange, a highly toxic liquid rocket fuel component, has been sent to Russia for disposal from the military warehouses of the Western Operative Command of the Ukrainian Ground Forces near the village of Tsenzhev, Ivano-Frankivsk region, the Defense Ministry reported.

According to the ministry, military men filled nine containers with melange over a period of 24 hours.

OSCE experts monitored the observance of safety rules during this process. Mathew Geertsen, the manager of OSCE-Ukraine project on melange removal, praised the work of the servicemen.
