KIEV, Feb. 19 – A possible political crisis in Ukraine could undermine the paying capacity of the country in 2010, said BYT MP Yuriy Poluneye.
"Of course, political risks and the absence of systemic power in Ukraine at present are one of the very serious factors that will undermine the paying capacity of the country in future," he said at a press conference in Kiev on Thursday.
Economist of the Astrum Investment Management Company Oleksiy Blinov, in turn, said this doesn't mean there will be default in Ukraine in 2010, but in the current year the country may be forced to increase its debts, while the expected budget deficit may total UAH 67 billion, what is equal to 6% of GDP.
