KIEV, Feb. 17 – The Transport and Communications Ministry has proposed to increase the coefficients applied to the tariffs on cargo shipments by rail each quarter.

According to a draft resolution, it is proposed to increase the price of transportation of most types of cargo by 3% from April 1, by 3.5% from July 1 and by 5% from October 1.

The press service of the State Railway Administration of Ukraine (Ukrzaliznytsia) told Interfax-Ukraine that the average increase in the price of cargo shipments in 2010 would not exceed 7%.
