KIEV, Feb. 17 – The Environment Protection Ministry has prolonged a license of Cadogan Petroleum plc, an oil and gas company with assets in Ukraine, to develop the Bitlyanska gas field in western Ukraine for another five years – until December 23, 2014.

Cadogan said in a London Stock Exchange filing that in October 2009 the company finished drilling the Borynya three well, which is 5,325 meters deep, and at present data from the drilling work are being studied.
