KIEV, Feb. 16 – President-elect Viktor Yanukovych has said he will have enough strength and consistency to defend Ukraine's national interests in relations with all partners.

Yanukovych said this in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday, commenting on a statement by current President Viktor Yushchenko that the new president should be guided by national interests for the sake of stable relations with Russia.
