KIEV, Feb. 2 - Ukraine's steel industry boosted finished roll output 20% year-on-year in January to 2.434 million tons, the Industrial Policy Ministry told Interfax.

Crude steel production jumped 26% to 2.726 million tons and pig iron grew 25% to 2.338 million tons.

The country produced 109,000 tons of steel pipes, up 26% from January 2009.
