KREMENCHUK, Feb. 1 - Ukrtatnafta (Kremenchuk, Poltava region), which runs the Kremenchuk oil refinery, plans to refine 5-6 million tons of oil this year, boosting production 60% to 90% over the almost 3.2 million tons it processed in 2009, company Deputy CEO for production and capital construction Serhiy Kosheliuk told reporters on Monday.
The refinery's crude sources have been secured, Kosheliuk said. "We have agreement with Azerbaijan on supplies of 240,000 tons of oil every month, and if need be, we can increase that another 80,000 tons. Also, monthly shipments of Eastern Ukrainian oil will be about 150,000 to 170,000 tons, Kazakh oil 15,000 to 20,000 tons. We will be supplied with crude and will, correspondingly, be reasserting our share of the oil-product market," he said.
