KIEV, Jan. 31 – The opposition Regions Party plans on Tuesday to debate and approve amendments to a bill on presidential election aimed at preventing a scenario that could lead to a cancelled vote.
The debate and the vote over the bill will indicate whether the Regions Party and its allies can muster a majority in Parliament ahead of the election.
“I believe that we will open a session of Parliament on Tuesday with some result,” Viktor Yanukovych, the leader of the Regions Party, said.
