KIEV. Jan. 27 - Ukraine will next week pay for Russian natural gas supplied in January, and will partially rely on borrowed funds, acting Finance Minister Ihor Umanskiy said Wednesday.

Ukraine’s energy company Naftogaz Ukrayiny must pay an estimated $500 million by February 7, but the payment will most likely be made on February 5, Umanskiy said.

“Naftogaz will pay in full for gas imported in January,” Umanskiy said. “Have no doubts.”
