KIEV, Jan. 25 – The opposition Regions Party will seek to call an emergency session of Parliament Thursday to dismiss Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko and to amend presidential election law to make sure the vote cannot be cancelled.

The plans come as confrontation has heated up between Regions Party leader Viktor Yanukovych and Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who are to face each other in the runoff vote February 7.
