KIEV, Jan. 21 – The International Monetary Fund is ready to work with any Ukrainian leadership and it welcomes presidential candidate Viktor Yanukovych's readiness to continue cooperation with the Fund if elected president, said Caroline Atkinson, the IMF's Director for External Relations.
"As you know, we work with member countries and not with particular governments… This is obviously welcome news that one of the candidates is expressing his interest in developing a fruitful relationship with us," she said at a biweekly press briefing in Washington on Thursday while commenting on Yanukovych's statement on further cooperation with the IMF.
