KIEV, Jan. 19 – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development boosted annual business volume by 32% in 2009, the EBRD's Ukraine resident office reported.
"Its annual business volume reached over $1.5 billion (EUR1.1 billion) thorough 46 transactions, the highest ever result for the Bank since it began operating in the country in 1993," the EBRD said in a report.
As was reported earlier, the EBRD's annual business volume in 2008 was EUR 835 million, which was 29% up on 2007 (EUR 647 million). In 2010 the EBRD is to invest at least EUR 1.1 billion.
