KIEV, Jan. 11 - Most Ukrainian mining companies reduced iron ore production significantly in 2009, while some majors posted increases.
Poltava Mining, the core asset of the London-listed Ferrexpo plc, cut commercial pellet production tentatively 3% to 8.767 million tons, including 772,500 tons in December, the company said in a press release.
Iron ore concentrate production rose 1% to 10.565 million tons, including 941,000 tons in December.
