KIEV, Dec. 16 – President Viktor Yushchenko will opposes the government’s plans to sign a memorandum with Russia's state nuclear power corporation Rosatom that anticipates long-term cooperation in production of uranium, Bohdan Sokolovskiy, Yushchenko’s top energy envoy, said.
Yushchenko, who has been seeking to diversify imports of uranium away from Russia, is not happy with the plan calls for the agreement that may have “unlimited duration” among other issues, Sokolovskiy said.
