KIEV, Nov. 20 – The government is damaging domestic medical equipment producers while helping foreign ones, presidential candidate Sergiy Tigipko said, commenting on a decision of the cabinet to give state guarantees for UAH 15 billion credits to purchase foreign medical equipment.
The press service of the politician noted that new ambulances, medical equipment and instruments would be bought using these funds. This means that over the next five years domestic hospitals and clinics would not purchase new equipment, moreover, difficulties with purchasing medicines may occur because all funds will be used to service credits.
