KIEV, Nov. 17 – Ukraine's GDP in 2009 could fall more than 10% but not more than 15%, according to experts polled by Interfax-Ukraine.
An economist from Concorde Capital Investment Company, Nikita Mykhailichenko, said that the improvement of the annual GDP growth pace in Q3, 2009 (to 15.9% according to tentative information from the State Statistics Committee) was thanks to a fall in the comparison base and a rise in production this year.
He said that in Q4, 2009 the effect of the low comparison base would prevail, and a considerable rise in production should not be expected.
