KHERSON, Nov. 10 – President Viktor Yushchenko said he is confident that the Constitutional Court will confirm the correctness of his decision to support an increase in social standards, in particular, the living wage.

He said live on Kherson regional television on Tuesday that he had signed the law on a rise in social standards and that this law obliges the government to increase the living wage.

Yushchenko said that instead Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko had submitted a motion to the Constitutional Court.
