KIEV, Nov. 10 – A total of 6-7 million doses of vaccine against À/H1N1 flu are needed to vaccinate people in high-risk groups in Ukraine, First Deputy Health Ministry Vasyl Lazoryshynets said at a briefing in Kiev.
"Taking into account medical personnel, children, pregnant women and the risk groups that we have, this will total 6-7 million [doses of vaccine]. But, according to the forecast of the Chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine, about 25-30% of the population should be vaccinated in order for them to obtain collective immunity [to the pandemic of flu]," he said.
