KIEV, Nov. 9 - Ukraine has enough natural gas in underground gas storage facilities to ensure safe transit of Russian gas to the European Union during the upcoming winter, Bohdan Sokolovskiy, President Viktor Yushchenko’s energy envoy, said Monday.

Sokolovskiy reacted to last week’s media reports citing comments by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin that there may be problems with the transit via Ukraine.
