KIEV, Oct. 30 – The European Business Association, jointly with the heads of pharmaceutical companies, have asked President Viktor Yushchenko to veto a law on the introduction of a moratorium on the increase of prices of medicine.

Jean-Paul Scheuer, the head of the Ukrainian representative office of Sanofi-Aventis, said that if the law comes into effect, pharmaceutical companies are to cut the prices of medicine by 60%.
