KIEV, Oct. 29 – The Central Election Committee has published declarations on incomes of seven registered candidates for the post of Ukraine's president.
Presidential candidate Sergiy Tihipko declared UAH 20.262 million in income for 2008, whereas his salary totaled UAH 3.722 million, income from the sale of securities - UAH 10.57 million. The annual income of members of his family totaled UAH 29.9 million, including UAH 27.46 million worth of dividends, and UAH 1.427 million worth of salary. Tihipko has UAH 4.251 million on his deposit accounts, while his wife has UAH 16 million on deposit accounts.
Regions Party leader Viktor Yanukovych declared UAH 4.858 million as his income for 2008, including around UAH 224,000 as his wage, UAH 277,000 as dividends, interests, and royalties, UAH 2.675 million as income gained from the sale of property, and UAH 1.68 million as financial assistance. The annual income of his family totaled around UAH 27,000, including UAH 14,000 in pensions.
