KIEV, Oct. 29 - The government will hold an emergency meeting on Friday to discuss an unknown flu-like illness that has already killed 30 people in three of the country’s western regions, with thousands potentially infected.

Oleksandr Turchynov, the first deputy prime minister, will lead the meeting that will discuss the measures that must be implemented to prevent the spread of the suspected infection.
