KIEV, Oct. 28 – Around 25-30 banks are delaying payments to their clients, the president of the Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB), Oleksandr Suhoniako, said on Tuesday.
"Around 25 banks have problems with a delay in payments, including to the public," he said.
As reported, as of Oct. 15, 2009, temporary administration was introduced at 16 banks.
The AUB president said that the macroeconomic situation in the country is hard: incomes of companies and the public are falling, which affects the quality of banks' credit portfolio.
