KIEV, Oct. 21 – A moratorium on the increase of prices and tariffs for medicine and medical products imposed for the period of the financial crisis by Parliament may cause a shortage of medicine in the country, according to Kiev-based Arterium Pharmaceutical Corporation.
The corporation said that the freezing of prices of medicine in the long-term will lead to fundamental changes in the system of the provision of the population with medicine, as private capital will loose interest to the sector, and this would force the state to spend funds on the creation of an alternative system.
